The Netbiter® I/O Extender series is a collection of analog and discrete I/O modules with Modbus-RTU protocol communication. The Netbiter® I/O extender modules are ideal for a wide variety of distributed I/O applications including data acquisition & control, process monitoring and test & measurement. The solution is designed for industrial applications and is DIN rail mountable. The Netbiter® I/O Extender can be connected in parallel with other Modbus equipment in a multi-drop installation topology.

When using the I/O modules together with the Netbiter® webSCADA product it is possible to monitor/control the I/O signals over Ethernet LAN’s, Internet or GSM/GPRS networks. This makes a powerful solution for remote monitoring and control, alarm management and data logging / trend graphs of I/O’s.

The family of I/O Extenders includes the IOX-DAIO, IOX-8DIO, IOX-4RO and the IOX-4RTD.
